i fully agree and i ABSO****INGLUTLEY love my mag so no disrespect to it, im not trying to bring it down AT ALL (i also own an old claw basket style i wont get rid of even though it is basically inopperable...ahh memories) but im just saying. of course it could be install depend this and that...but i just dont see how a sun down running at .5 ohms, or whatever he said, isnt about the same power handling as a 20.1 run at 1 ohm. maybe mine gets stinky cause somehow i AM clipping it, or maybe bad source material that is clipped from the get go. who knows im just saying that if everything checks out with my system, my mag gets stinky. i still love that big bastard though

Yeah, I understand what you are saying. If chad had 2 sundowns strapped at 1 ohm, then each sundown would be seeing a .5 ohm load and putting out probably around 2300rms to each mag. That would not be good. But I am guessing when he said he had a sundown on each mag, that meant each sundown is wired to 1 ohm and putting out around 1500rms. 1500rms for 15 minutes I could see each mag doing without any problems.

And glad to hear you are a big SI fan. I know you weren't saying anything negative.

That would not be good. But I am guessing when he said he had a sundown on each mag, that meant each sundown is wired to 1 ohm and putting out around 1500rms. 1500rms for 15 minutes I could see each mag doing without any problems.

edit: btw i should say since i completely went off topic in this thread, im digging the look of the whole assembly on the mag. looks clean. they should change the dust cap though to maybe help differentiate them a little easier

hence why i had a shop do it, then changed my box and had a reputable person do it. (JBM and AJ from floridaspl.com)

i just know that on NUMEROUS occasions the mags stunk after about 5mins.

when i made those videos from a couple weeks ago, they stunk, after like 10.

i demo'd it at a park playing "man in the trunk" and by end of the song they reeked, which is less then 5minutes.

i drove home one day and played "weight man" the entire way through and they reeked! (also less then 5minutes)

ive read places that amps running very low produce more current then voltage and can lead to clipping...maybe thats the case.

only other thing i can think of is a bad ground, but right now i CANT DO ANYTHING about it.

i know someone with 2 12" BLs on 2 sundowns strapped @ 1ohm (.5 to each BL) and he snapped his tinsel lead, BL's should take the power like nothing. and the diagnosis was that the amp probably clipped due to running so low, you want to see the thread let me know. and i know those are ppl that know there stuff.

and if any signs of clipping can be seen now (like slightly burned VC, or tinsels w/e) ill go take pics right now and post if i have to, if itll help determine whats going wrong.

no duh, why do you think ive been posting, i know something isnt right. i said i put volume on 16 when i played the tone and set gains by ear.

i never put it that high while i bump, i hardly go past 12, and it stinks after a little while.

besides that. i personally think your are a class-A jacka$s and tu madre probably sucks fa life.

I have never seen one in person so I can't really comment on the build quality, but it is pretty evident you have. So since I'm a dealer I am very interested to hear why the build quality is cheap. Please give me some exact details, because if it is something I am going to have a problem with I would really like to know.
