I dont understand how people can compare a Q to a mag to begin with. Dont get me wrong, nothing wrong with the Q. They're just to different things.

We were up to 148 dB with that setup.

yea its kinda depressing IMO.

ill demo for some ppl and bump full tilt for like 5-10mins max, or just bump on my way home for 1 song (young capone - weight man) and itll get stinky to where i smell it strong in the front of the car.

pop trunk feel cones with back of my hand and they are warm, smell near port and it reeks....

think a bad ground can cause this??

doubt its clipping, set gains by ear with 45hz tone.

and since its a trunk i hear they overexcursion, so if anything the gain should be low.

and its tuned to 35, and im not sure if you know the song, but i doubt it dips below that.

hmm maybe i cant install either cause i set my 20.1 using an ocillioscope funtion on a snap-on modis using a -6db tone (and STILL get the gains a teeny bit conservitivly after i found out where it clips)...and my 15 gets stinky as well...1800 watts too much? maybe but it aint 1800 on my stock electrical system......

20.1's do put out more power than the Sundown amps. You may not notice an extra 300watts when listening to a mag, but I am sure the mag's VC notices a difference

i fully agree and i ABSO****INGLUTLEY love my mag so no disrespect to it, im not trying to bring it down AT ALL (i also own an old claw basket style i wont get rid of even though it is basically inopperable...ahh memories) but im just saying. of course it could be install depend this and that...but i just dont see how a sun down running at .5 ohms, or whatever he said, isnt about the same power handling as a 20.1 run at 1 ohm. maybe mine gets stinky cause somehow i AM clipping it, or maybe bad source material that is clipped from the get go. who knows im just saying that if everything checks out with my system, my mag gets stinky. i still love that big bastard though
