Difference between 2 ohm Type Rs and 4 ohm Type Rs?

u will nto notice a diference between impendance giving same power to each sub.... try to get dual 4 ohms so u can wire at 1 ohm in parallel with ur 2 type rs

Would you say the Hifonics BXi 1206D is OK to run the two Type R's for a starter system? Will it still perform great?
It would be passable. But if you insist on going with that amp, I'd go with a single 15 with dual-2 ohm coils. Type-Rs will take 1000w all day long. If yo really want 2 subs, I suggest getting something that will do an honest 1500-2000w at 1 ohm.
