If you had a single cab Ford Ranger...

Ok i installed it last night and took a couple pics of it this morning....i also included a printout of the box with dimensions labeled on it...if you can't read some of them or are confused shoot me a message i would be more than happy to help!

since i am new to posting pics, i hope these turn out alright for you guys...

with some cutting work on the hump behind the rear seat that the rack sits on you can get quite a bit of room. back in the early 90' we put 4 12's MTX sub in my standard cab ranger. they were in a bit to small of space but it still worked out very well. and it was fun to see the look people gave when they was 4 12's in such a small truck.

Singlefordrange, can you get some more pics of it in your truck? I'm trying to see how high it goes (does it stop at the window?) and if I'd be able to put my 2 8"s without them being pushed against the seat.

bubbagumper6, I've looked at those, and I'm still considering them. Exactly how loud are they? Do they sound just the same as any other 12", or does the shallow mountedness make the quieter? EDIT: ****, those aren't that expensive either. $240 for 2 12" Premiers shipped doesn't seem to bad...

ampresearch, that's freaking crazy. However, I have no intentions of cutting my truck, but if I was going to do that, I'd put a hardcover on the back and cut out the back wall //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Not at all. They are awesome, I was really impressed with them. He put 3 12's in his truck and they slam. I would seriously consider em....there awesome for limited space.

I was thinking about the pioneers in my single cab 1995 ford f-150, but I may go with 2 12'' Mach MAWS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you want to upgrade to a 12, maybe check out the dimya 12. Excellent SQ, long throw (ie, loud sealed) and only need the box size of some 8's! You can actually get away with .25 cubes if needed, but I'd try to at least get a .5 cube box for it. As you'd expect, they can be power hungy, but your amp would be fine for one of them. For limited space on a budget I'd say they are just about the ultimate sub for that application. Honestly, they are a good woofer at the MSRP, they just kick *** at 1/2 that!

I'd love to get some real 12"s in my truck (fi q's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif), but I just don't have the space unless I do some major modding, and I really don't want to do that. If that dimya 12 is a shallow mount, I'd love more info on it though. Google hasn't given me anything on it, is it a non-american brand?

Yea, and it looks like you're doing what I wish I could do, putting a hard top on the bed and cutting the back wall. I just don't want to do that though, because I'm not sure how long I'll be in this truck. You don't have the 2 Q's in there right now do you? If so, how the hell did you fit them properly?

Hell no, I wish........Regular Cab rangers are so cramped for space.......I had 3w3v210's behind my seats.....They were powered by a hifonics 1206D

didn't you click my link? They are made by a VERY small company, well actually Nguyen designed them, I don't know who manufactures them, but it's a small DIY forum site owner, basically. For mounting depth, 16cm, or 6.3 inches. Assuming you can fit that, you'll have a sub with only 5mm less xmax than a fi-q.

What exactly is a blowthrough? Where you just put the ports through the back wall and leave the speakers in a box in the back of the truck? If so, why not just go all out and cut the whole wall?

And I didn't even notice that link T3mpest o_O Looks like a good sub, how much power does it take?
