if you had 500,000$ to blow what would you do?

Only work I've had to do for this vehicle is rust repair on the rockers cause the people that owned it before me used it strictly for a winter vehicle for 3 years in a row. They didn't wash the car or anything when they put it in the garage for the summer, and with all the salt on the roads up here it just started rusting. There is one hole on each rocker and surprisingly is only about the size of your fist which makes fixing it a breeze. I've seen some cars where the whole rocker looked like it would fall off at any minute.
FYI. Nissan has a new recall on pathfinders for rust formin around the strut towers. If its really bad they buy back the truck. Lol

the camry is a good car...i like the fact that nissan is one of the only manufacturers that uses a actual timing chain instead of a belt on their smaller engines...I have seen many, many cars bite the dust due to a timing belt failure....and cruising down the Interstate at 80 mph when one lets loose in a hyundai will cost an easy 3 grand to fix...ruins the head, bends the valves punch holes in pistons and can spin a crank bearing or two
Lulz. Nissan 3.5 and 4.0 have alot of issue with the secondary chain shoes. They raise hell and almost all of them need replacing. It's only about 2 grand

I know. I paid $1200 for my first pathfinder, the rust was bad enough that they gave me a buyout on the vehicle for it's esitmated worth of just under 5 grand. Bought a new pathfinder for 1k, banked the rest, brought it to a dealership right away and luckily this one was in good enough shape that it was repaired at no cost to me. Honestly the fact that they paid 5 grand on a vehicle that was close to 15 years old is pretty amazing, I would never expect a manufacturer to do that for a recall on a vehicle that old.

I had a BMW 525i and replaced the timing belt right before selling it..can you imagine the # of BMW's running the roads and being sold at 100,000 to 125,000 mi without a level III service being done?? that would really **** on the freeway 80 mph

Man, you would be totally amazed at the number of used cars going to Mexico every single day.I live on US Highway 59..the shortest route from Chicago to central Mexico at the Texas border. Every single day I see caravans consisting of usually a Mini Van pulling a small Suv, or a small suv pulling a small car...almost all are dented, wrecked and barely running,etc..Always Mexicans going south, I never see northbound traffic like that ..never and it is every single day...been like this for a few years.

I hope they weren't towing my old pathfinder lol. The dealership said the strut tower was rusted out so bad that one more nasty pothole and the whole wheel would bend in.

tell ya what is northbound though...it is so bad here on this highway that if it is not more than 2-3 lbs of yayo or 20 lbs of weed, it wont even make a article the newspaper anymore

I work at a Nissan parts dept. I've never seen one get totaled out like yours but I beleive they paid that much for it. When it comes to Nissan and safety warranty/recall, they are top notch. As many problems they've had with their cvt trannys they extended the warranty to 120k miles. And I swear we've replaced hundreds. The reman units and 2010+ model years are almost bullet proof.

But I drive a chevy

I wouldn't have a problem driving domestics if so many of them didn't have such bad ****** issues. I feel like everytime I see a car break down it's cause of the ****** failing

It's funny you say that cause if I go WOT my ****** slips in my blazer. Not really an issue now cause I literally live 1/4 mile from work so it doesn't get much mileage. I had a 3.5 Altima but got out of it cause I was tired of payment. But the 3.5 pathfinders are one of my favorite SUVs of all time.

I wish mine was a 3.5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Unfortunately I only have the 3.3. I tried finding a 3.5 for a decent price but the lowest I could find was like 6k for a private sale. Go back 2 years to the 3.3 and they cost 1 - 1.5k. Pretty crazy how big of a value gap there is.

Those 3.3s are pretty decent motors tho. I have a buddy with 400k on his original motor

with stupid money like that, you would buy kicker anything!? Pretty soon you will be able to get a lot more than 44 of those seeing as how walmart picked up their line
Yo bro, stay on topic.

Asian cars are just as guilty. Though certain trannies from any automaker give them all a bad name.
