Just hit 200k and I have all the paperwork for anything done on this vehicle...nothing besides regular oil changes and inspections. I'd like to see a domestic vehicle with the same history.Coming from the guy that drives a Pathfinder.
Jeeps, most older 3800 engines. Might not be as easy on the maitenance but they lastJust hit 200k and I have all the paperwork for anything done on this vehicle...nothing besides regular oil changes and inspections. I'd like to see a domestic vehicle with the same history.
Only work I've had to do for this vehicle is rust repair on the rockers cause the people that owned it before me used it strictly for a winter vehicle for 3 years in a row. They didn't wash the car or anything when they put it in the garage for the summer, and with all the salt on the roads up here it just started rusting. There is one hole on each rocker and surprisingly is only about the size of your fist which makes fixing it a breeze. I've seen some cars where the whole rocker looked like it would fall off at any minute.Jeeps, most older 3800 engines. Might not be as easy on the maitenance but they last
Good miles but nothing out of the ordinary.Just hit 200k and I have all the paperwork for anything done on this vehicle...nothing besides regular oil changes and inspections. I'd like to see a domestic vehicle with the same history.
Depends on the make/model. Some cars will be a dream for 200k, others will be an absolute nightmare. Any car can "make" it to 200+, it about how much it's costs to get ya there. A transmission isn't out of the ordinary forhow many miles do cars/suvs usually last till? im actually atm trying to get a used car or suv
My step dads 02 camry just passed 300k and he had a pathfinder before that that was over 350k, both vehicles had all original engine, *****, etc.how many miles do cars/suvs usually last till? im actually atm trying to get a used car or suv
the camry is a good car...i like the fact that nissan is one of the only manufacturers that uses a actual timing chain instead of a belt on their smaller engines...I have seen many, many cars bite the dust due to a timing belt failure....and cruising down the Interstate at 80 mph when one lets loose in a hyundai will cost an easy 3 grand to fix...ruins the head, bends the valves punch holes in pistons and can spin a crank bearing or twoMy step dads 02 camry just passed 300k and he had a pathfinder before that that was over 350k, both vehicles had all original engine, *****, etc.
I've never understood timing belts. Prob the most retarded, penny pinching part automakers used on such an important part of the vehicle.the camry is a good car...i like the fact that nissan is one of the only manufacturers that uses a actual timing chain instead of a belt on their smaller engines...I have seen many, many cars bite the dust due to a timing belt failure....and cruising down the Interstate at 80 mph when one lets loose in a hyundai will cost an easy 3 grand to fix...ruins the head, bends the valves punch holes in pistons and can spin a crank bearing or two
