I'd just break down and spend a few bones more and run 8 of these bad boy 8's

I had a pair of rex 8s and they sucked.

I got them in the hopes that they would be decent like my re sx 18" is but no

the rex8 will easily bottom out - and does not sound verry acurate either.

I ran the pair with 200w for a bit - and then with 325w to the pair and they never gave me what I wanted

so

steer clear of rex8 or suffer disapointment like i

I thought MB Quarts were under Maxxsonics (Hifonics, Crunch, Autotek and MB Quart). I could be wrong though?

Have you thought about the Sundown E8v2's? I think they are pretty cheap, not as cheap as some of those but I'm sure they would perform as good or better than those.
