If I were to....

I think its a good idea. For us that are limited on space. This would be a great way to get loud on less woofers. Just gotta make room for the batts and alts.
Yeah I can't reallly help ya there on the bats and amps, cause you'll need them to power it. But I am offering a way to throw a ton of power regularly on one or two subs and actually have them last more than a year.

nope, gonna start out on 8 layer 4" coils. I know at this point you're thinking im nuts, but I assure you this is the case and the physics are there to do it with a radical cooling method. I don't want to go to far into the physics part of it yet without this thread to gauge whether its worth looking into mass production or just a small run.
ceramic coating, and radiator cooling vents, seen this done once, but it was on a 12 layer 6" coil motor.. they even tried doing liquid cooling pockets inside the pole

exactly. Just because your subs would be rated for an X amount of power. Lets says 12,000 RMS.

Doesn't mean you have to run that to them.

Someone with a tiny car could throw a 10 or 12 in. Throw 3,000 plus to it with no worries. And be loud.

Get me a lil more spec wise / pm me about them... Could be interesting and something I might be interested in.. Could possibly find some investors if you have a good layout and so forth and business plan

I've seen the pole liquid cooling, was kind of pointless. But no, none of those will be used. Even the former is going to be different than normal. I have a background in beam line superconducting magnets so i've had some ideas boiling in my head for awhile.

Would you be able to have hard/soft parts machined to allow for a LOT of linear excursion?
Not at this point, for prototypes i'm gooing to use some off the shelf "donor" motors that might require some machining but nothing I can't do myself.

so a 50hz sine wave @10k..... hmm... 12" coils?
nah brah...it can be done with a 4" its just that price goes up because the materials are more expensive. Just how the world works //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I would be interested FYI.

I only have the box space for 2 12s. But still have room for batteries. I could easily add 5-6 more Group 31s if I wanted too. And I can added a 2nd 380A alternator.

So a pair of 12s that could take 10k would be nice.

Not everyone owns SUV's guys.

Then the question is would the pricing for a single 12k sub be better than 4 3k subs, which would be easy to do I think

Yes, its certainly looking that way.
@snoopdan; PM me if you want to talk about my triple slug Madmax motor. One of the nastier 4" motors i've seen.
duely noted sir!
