current setup...

15" sx off of a concept cc-d1200

but i want louder... (more bass)

should i get a mofo15" and push it with 1200rms watts... OR

buy 2 15" (insert name of sub here) possible compvr's??? I need two subs that are around 500-800rms that can be pushed well with 600+rms a peice... dno't wanna spend over 250 shipped for the pair...

Would the 2 15's with the same power be louder? IF i tune them around 30 htz instead of 35 they should hit harder too???

The SX is regarded as a very loud sub. Maybe you could try changing other things in the install before giving up on it, like box size, tuning, placement, etc?

Having said that, Id go with the pair of 15"s......not sure if the vrs would get louder, and dont know what other pair you could get to be louder for $250, but I dont think the MOFO would be louder than the SX either.

2 15's vs 1 15 with the same amount of power going to them is only going to net you 3 more db's get anoter sx 15 and build a big ol' box tuned to about 30hz and then give each sub 1000watts that should do the trick, dropping the tuning makes it more listenable.

i want the most thump out of 1200rms (because i dont want to do elec upgrades on my current vehicle) i guess "loudess" isn't what i'm after... it's the low end thump i am after...

maybe 2 SE 15s? or 2 Li 15s, i really dont see why you dont like the SX, everyone that has one says they are crazy, i have a 12 and that thing got loud as i needed for daily, a 15 should be better, i think its somewhere in the install or something

i think i tuned it too high... it does get loud don't get me wrong... just thought i'd try to eek out some more thump to it

Just shell out some money. Get a high end 15 such as DD 9515 or Mmats JUGGERNAUT Kicker SOLO X and get a big amp that does around 2500 watts and build a large ported box. The SX is a good sub for the money but you trying to be super loud without dropping more money on better equipment. Buy a new amp such as a ORION 2500 D upgrade the ALT do the Big 3 Get a DD 9515 build a ported box around 5.5 cubes with like 80 square of port and you wont have to get a new system . I wouldn't call the lowest freqs a thump type of bass, more of a shaker or rumble. Usually the thumping bass is higher, even up into the midbass range. Maybe you need to get a better idea exactly what you are wanting?
