IDMAX 12" BOX/ Light weight mdf

I need to make a box for my idmax 12. Its either going to be 1.5 sealed or 2.5 @ 30hz. but in order to make it ported i need to find something lighter than birch ply, ive read about turpan lightweight mdf. any idea where to get it or anyone on here who will build me a box with it?

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy some 13 ply birch.

Everyone who I have talked to and everything that I have read online tells me that Baltic Birch is a hair lighter than Trupan, and is actually stronger, all for the same price.

Why wouldnt you want the lighter, stronger wood for the same price?

from all that ive read its a little lighter than birch and can be found cheaper. and **** depots birch is crap. how much does a sheet go for over at lowes?

Yes, we can definitely build you a box if your still interested. We use ultra-light on ALL of our enclosures and might I say, using ultra-light makes a world of difference in both weight and how clean it cuts and sands. It's actually no stronger than ultra-light. We have used both in many cases and they come to be about the same weight for a sheet. We also get ultra-light sheets for the price of a regular sheet of 3/4" mdf //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And like i said ultralight is great to work with.
