Idmax 10's help

I just did a trade for 2 idmax v4 10's and I'm trying to figure out what kind of box I want, sealed or ported.

I'm looking for good tight bass that hits a wide range but I'm not looking to be real loud but I do want some good lows. I have about 3 cuft net to work with. And they will be on a cab1600.1 at 1 ohm. Any suggestions will help. I was just going to sealed as I know these subs are good for that but if anyone can give me a good reason to go ported I'd like to hear it

The iDMax shines in sealed. They don't usually like a lot over RMS. But if you have a clean 2k to throw at them sealed, you would be in great shape. Its true ported will be a little louder and won't require as much power. However, I'd argue they shine more in a sealed application.

I don't have 2000w and I don't feel like buying another amp right now. I have a cab1600

Well I think I'm going 2 cuft sealed first just cause its so easy. Just went and bought a sheet of 3/4 in birch. So I think I'll build it tomorrow
