Ok, try and look at things logically. First, you need to determine if this is going to be a daily driver or competition setup. Since you want to run that much power, and if you value any aspect of your hearing at all, this should be a competition setup. Now, what's the goal at a comp? To get as loud as possible. Therefore, your choice in subs should reflect that. Don't go to a comp running 6000 watts on four SQ-oriented woofers, run 6000 watts to subs that are highly (if not completely) SPL-oriented. The IDMAX is an amazing driver, but for all-out SPL, it just doesn't cut it. It's not conducive to competitions. Put one or 2 ID's in another truck for your daily driver setup, and run some XXX's or what have you in the competition setup.
Also, I don't understand what you're talking about the BX1500D being a better match-up for the IDMAX than the XXX. 1500 is more than enough to get a XXX moving and pounding like crazy, ask me or the countless other people on this forum who run the exact same setup. Also, you need to remember that if you were to run 1500 to an IDMAX, you run a chance of blowing it, and sense that is classified as user error, it could completely void your warranty (depending on where you buy them.) If you wanted to cut down the risk of blowing it, you'd have to put it in a smaller box.................and small boxes and competitions just don't go together. They're like oil and water.
And another thing, having 4 subs and a wall is going to bump you up a few classes, where you'll be going against hardcore competitors. I'd hate to go into a competition in the modified class, and finish in last place because I was running four SQ woofers.
Bottom line - don't get the IDMAX's if you plan to compete.
