Ideas for potentially puttin a Wall in my Blazer

Ok I think I posted about the new system I wanna build this winter, as my current system aint cuttin it..

Also, I think I already posted that I got the 4 HiFonics 1500Ds, now I'm workin on gettin the subs...

Anyway here is my potential layout for the Wall... Sorry if its sloppy, I'm not an expert at Visio and I just threw it together real quick...

This is subject to change a few times...

Questions??? Ideas???

IDMAX'S?? Any particular reason for going with those? I think 4 XXX's or 4 Death Penalties would be SICK in that setup.

Well, I'm not 100% sold on the IDs... I was looking at the RE XXXs on their site, but I have never seen or heard them. From what I have read, they do get good reviews and comments... I just don't think I'd have enough power for them, they take up to 2500 watts or so... With my Max, I'd just barly hit the min on the XXXs....

I have also, been doing a lot of reading on the ID Maxs and I have about the right power for 4 of those and they have got good reviews and comments on all the sites I have read, plus I have seen them in 2 or 3 systems and liked them...

because that system is gona be CRAZY and isnt gona be a system for music really.

I say u go with the XXX. U have 1500 watts per sub why not use that power. IDMAX rms is 1000 watts. XXX get SO loud man trust me and everyone else on the board, they get So loud. And they have Awesome SQ.

I dunno...

I'm still swayin back in fourth between the Image Dynamics ID MAx 12 V.3 D2s and the RE XXXs....

Alot of people on other forums say go with the ID thay sound really good and get really loud... Then alot of people over on Caraudio.com forum say go with the XXXs, they are so much louder...

My only issue with the XXXs is that that are 1600-2500 Watts...

Where are the ID Maxs are 1000-1800.. I'm sure with those specs the RE XXX could get louder, but I think the power is better matched with the Maxs...

My amps at 1 Ohm will do 1500 Each...

I wish I could see (besides internet pics) and hear some XXXs...

Your sure that 1500 is plenty when the specs for that sub are 1600-2500 Watts... I don't mean to be pesty, I just don't want to spen a sh!tload of cash again and not be happy...

I realize I'm kinda beating a dead horse, but it will be about a month before I can have the cash to buy the subs and I want to read as much on both and get as many opinions on both subs and then make a descision..

I apprecieate everyones input on this...

what size alternator is running 4 hifonics 1500s?

personally id go with 4 XXXs or 4 incriminator death penaltys.

also do you realize how loud this will be? a vehicle with a wall with 6000w is something you dont drive around every day in. you will cause permanent hearing damage to yourself and playing music that loud will piss everyone off around you and just make it tougher on the laws. i wouldnt be suprised if you were doing a 158 on linear x with a setup like that... in fact id be suprised if you didnt. i hope you realize what you are getting into if you dont compete.

As far as the HO alt pushing the 4 1500Ds... They aren't even in yet, but I'm looking at alts now.. I know I need one... I'll have heavy *** (0/1gu) wire, a HO Alt and 4 Optima Yellow tops ( also, I have a 15 Farad Alumapro cap, may or may not use)

Actually, I have no Idea how loud it will be, but I'm hoping it will be loud as hell...

I doubt I will hit 158, thats LOUD, not that I would mind...

It won't be driven every day as I have 2 other trucks, but I will drive it as much as I can... :up2someth (I can turn 3 of the amps off too, for normal listening).

I will not be an a$$hat and drive though residential areas at 2AM and shake pics offa the walls like other people in my area do... Sh!t, my neighbors, don't even know I have a system...

Also, When I'm driving home, I usually, turn it off or down at the hiway offramp thats just a few minutes fom my house..

I am building it, mostly for shows...

Yea I don't really understand that..... And tellin me 6000Watts is too much for a daily driver.... I was gonna go with 8 of the 1500Ds for 12000 Watts, but I was runnin outta room... Whatever you use for equipment, just remember you are going to greatly reduce the life of the equipment running an SPL setup. No matter the brand, there is a good chance you'll have to replace something before the end of a competition season. It looks like you have a good idea going though so far.
