ID V3 owners - help!

Hello,

I was wondering if the plastic cap at the bottom of the sub covering the magnet can be removed? I removed the 6 hex screws but the cap will not come off. I don't want to force it because I don't want to break the sub.

I was told the cap could be removed to decrease the mounting depth.

put a large screwdriver or door panel removal tool in between the basket and plastic piece, and pop it off, it is just hot glued to the bottom of the motor
