i bought a set of these and with less than 75 watts on them the are popping. crossed at 80 24 db slope. doors are deadened but not sealed but the mid is competly though the door like a ib install. what is causing them to pop im reading about everyone putting 200 watts on them and i cant get away with 75.

Shouldn't be I set the gains with a multi meter and I'm still below what I set it at

I had a clean 150 each on them from an audison srx4 and they could have taken more.

What wiring should I check because I hooked every thing in phase. Works fine until it starts to get loud then I look and sounds like I'm over driving the mid

I cross mine at 63HZ, w/ 24db/oct. crossover ran off of an SAX 100.4 and I dont have any issues //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif My mids barely move.

what amp are you useing?

you may try changing your db slope to find the right xover point for your set up.

you should finish deadening your door.

make sure you have a completely tight seal around the mounting ring.

yes we should

the reason i didnt seal off my doors is because there are rods comng through the hole and i dont have a clue what could use to bend into the shape. the hole is on uneven surfaces.(if that makes any since)
