hello i am new to this board but i have sold some of these over on eca and diy . These are OEM Image Dynamics mid/midbass drivers. very similar in sound and looks to a cx64. they are 4 ohm will take 150-175 watts with nice detail and extreme impact.

zukiaudio, gentlejax2,and tristan20 have bought these and enjoyed them.

marv was impressed with the impact playing 1 for sub duty in a .20 cu ft box.

I think we are gonna build a 8in cubed box for 4 of these and see how it sounds.

Very beefy and well built each speaker weighs about 5 lbs. shipping is on me though.

i hope to have some for sale in the next 2 weeks

these as they are now would be available in 2 and 4 ohm and be in the $120 -130 range shipped

i am also thinking about another carbon cone to rase the spl back to 90db but carbon is much more expensive now and the same driver with a carbon cone will me in the $160 shipped.

4.3khz from what i remember. don't know what slope tough

hessdawg, how those mids compare to those coming off the ctx65cs? are they more sensitive?

i haven't heard the ctx65cs mids if any body has please chime in

called to get some production speakers and was told about a new oem 2.5 that will be different than these 2.0 prototypes. the 2.5 should be cheaper ($90), more efficient(91db), and handle more power (200w) the only trade off would be freq response starts falling off @ 2500k. i should have these new 2.5s in next week. so i'm gonna hold off on the 2.0's for right now.
