ID bandpass/ported

I was looking at the box specs for the IDQ D4 V.3 and the Bandpass comes out to 1.5 cubes and the ported 1.2 and sealed .75. For you bandpass guys are their any advantages to going with that enclosure over traditional sealed/ported? The output on their graph shows the bandpass and ported 30hz to be very close in db's and response, is there any reason to go with a bandpass over ported if the graphs are about the same? Better blending with midbass or transient response?
