IB 8" subwoofer shootout.....

So I've had the following subs IB:

DLS OA8's

Ascendant Audio Assassins

Kicker CVR's

Critical Mass SS82

Rockford HX2's

Will use the following IB in my rear deck in the near future:

Eqhs (yuck)

Powerbass ES-8D

MTX 5500's

JBL gto's

IDv3

Are there any other woofers you would like to see tested IB? Are there any woofers you would like to donate to the cause? I would also return them to you if you wish, would need pairs as well.

As far as my plans in the end what I plan to do is create a comparison that includes impact, lfe, sq, musicality, power handling and a maybe a few other things. I will also rate each spec on a 1-10 scale and give grand totals for each woofer.

Trying to find a match to make it a pair.

Not to jump on the JL boner but was pretty impressed with the sound on such low power. Was enough to bump in my car when waiting for my mag (within the cabin).

I was thinking we should have a contest with 8's! See who can build the best box for the drivers, best sound, and get the best numbers out of a pair of 8's that we can pass around. I'd offer up the JL if I can get a match for it, just have people pay shipping to each other. It'd be better with beefier 8's though.

Cool thanks for the input. If I can find JL 8IB's I'll prob use them, but price with those is typically an issue, not to mention trying to find them lol.

I can get my hands on one, but not another. So unless/until I can find pairs, that 1: I can afford, or 2: are donated to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I won't be testing those specific subs.

I am lookin for some 1008's or 1508's to use, but the coil is an issue.
