so i hooked up my temparary system yesterday,i udes all knu 1/0 powermater 200amp alt did the big three all in 1/0 my amp is a kicker zx2500.1 and subs are 2 15in cvrs...my prob is when i have the volume on 0 i can hear a low humming noise from the subs...also when i step on the brakes i hear a lil bump from the subs...anyone have a idea on what this is????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

sounds like a grounding issue.. make sure you connections are secure.

mine also does if i don't have anything playing and my gain knob is at any level but zero.

It's probably that pioneer deck you have.

..ya my gain is on 0 it cant go any lower...and that would **** if it was mu deck i just dropped $250 on it

where is your ground at? might be a little to close to the tail lights.

+1 on the ground in your trunk..

Did you use an existing bolt? Also make sure you sand off the paint around where the terminal touches metal.

thanks guys...ya i grounded the amp to one of the seat bolts in the rear

Try moving it. It's best to use a new bolt and drill a new hole. Sand down both sides of the metal and bolt it on.
