I respect you and your opinion and anyone who competes. I will say this.....If you put a 187 10 or 12 in a Type R box whatever size it is and play it for SPL purposes roughly around 50 Hz it will be as loud or slight louder than the Type R with half the power in the recommended box that Alpine says is the best for the Type R.

As far as pricing I bet a Type R is higher. I've never seen a sub in the price point of the 187 that can touch it. No bragging at all, results are results. If you want I'll even buy a Type R and test it myself and post results.

Guys why can't we all just get along?

the R dont shine around 50hz, its 45hz and down. i would love 2 see it also. the SX beats the R at that note also. i dont like it that high. 44 and lower is where i want it. and i respect wha u do also NICK. great products and would love 2 try 1 of ya amps out.
