As said in thread I have all of this stuff and my voltage still goes WAYYYYYY down....

The only thing I havent done yet is the big 3 but I had to use one of my wires from my big 3 when I took it out to use it to hook up the amp.

But I doubt the big 3 will make THIS big of a change..

your doing something wrong. i have a stock alt and i can run the same amount of current with no problems. i have a ton of wire. big 3 done in 1/0 and full grounds.

Yehh upgrade ur grounds reallyyy well....like 2-3 frame ground
Also what do you call wayyyy down...what voltage?
or just run full grounds. i have found explorers not to bed good conducters unless you go DIRECTLY onto the frame. and with that kind of power he is running it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I had the mmats 1400.2 in there and it barely moved, now everytime I hit a note my voltage flys down, I need to hook up my sting thing and just turn it on and see, I have just been going by the car voltage(dash)

I have the ground from the back batt to the seatbelt.

I am just going to ride over there and tinker with it and take some of your advice and see what happens.

It does say it draws 450A for that amp though.

Here is the deal, there are 2 0 gauge inputs on the amp. So I ran another wire to the other one. Voltage was fine.. Was driving about 20 min and the amp just shut off into protect mode with voltage not being below 11.5. It kept going into protect and I would turn my car off an back on and it would work. Well then I turned the Gains down and it worked a little longer, then started doing the same thing. Well then it quit all of the suden and smelled funny..

I do have a question though, I got 2 of the 15's one of them at lower levels would make a noise. I am still somwhat a newb so is there any way that, that could have caused this.

Voltage was ok and everything. Now I have a ****ing fried 40.1 and a friend 9515... Im so ****in pissed.

edit- when I hooked it up yesterday everything was perfect accept for the voltage with it being at half gain..

Today it was about 1/4

GO**** I AM SICK OF THIS SHIT, BLOWING EVERY ****ING THING UP TRYING TO DO IT BY MYSELF SO I CAN LEARN IT!!!! TO BAD I USE BAD *** EQUIPMENT

with that kind of electrical and your still frying gear, i have a feeling its the install, not the electrical

You only had one battery, you didn't upgrade your grounds so how is the power supposed to flow back to the battery? A big pipe in doesn't help if you have a tiny pipe out.

It was obvious there was a problem, shouldn't have kept pushing it

Are you talking about my rear batt?

When I had it at .5 I had no problems at all bumping all day accept electrical. So I kept it to smaller bass notes and about 2 songs and then let it charge a little etc
