I witnessed the most horrifying thing ever

Well, to some it might not, but i just found my dog kinda coughing and cackling. Then she leaned over against one of the dining room chairs. When she fell over to the floor i ran over to find she was not breathing but still moving her head looking at me. Then i proceeded to rub her side and she began breathing again and laid there for 5 minutes, then walked about as if nothing had happened.

It was the most scariest thing i have ever witnessed, next to my supervisor at target.

By the way my dog is Boxer pure bred. I heard they only live about 12-14 years. Her time is coming sadly though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

what was it it? Seizure? heartattack? false alarm (doubt it)? NEED HELP.

I am going to make an appointment with the Animal Specialist and see whats wrong.

ok she's back to the coughing kinda thing again (but didnt fall over this time) I need some serious fast info here. My mom is awake and is gonna help with the appointments and stuff,

this is terrible, can i see pics of the dog?

also dont sacrifice your dog unless you're sure hes going to die, i see people sacrificing their dogs under stupid circumstances, like they're trying to get rid of them

i condem these people for this... take your dogs to the latest measures before sacrificing him (i mean, i hope this is not the case)

i'd never sacrifice the dog. I can't up the pics because my PC is dead, i am using my parents pc. It's just your normal Boxer with a shortened cut tail and cut crowned ears or something like that.

good luck with him, Boxers are friendly as no other dog

i had a dog who died ten years ago but we only had him for 1 week before he died... now we have 2 dogs one of them being 10 years old and the other 2 years and a half old, all robust healthy thanks god

here are pics of muhdogs

to lose them would be like losing a relative or even worse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I do agree to make sure your dog will be around as long as possible and people make the wrong choices. But did you ever think about living in pain and suffering? I have never sacrificed one of my dogs but at times I wish I had for one. It was a dog living with seizures for about 6 years. And on it's final year, it barely moved, got loaded with pills (+ other medication), started losing it's vision and hearing. Then my parents went away for a week and while they were gone the dog died in my care. I knew months before I could have let go of the dog but chose not to, then the dog died (probably more painful than it could have been) leaving me feeling very guilty.

sorry for the long story but in some cases, letting the dog go is the better thing. I know myself, I will never want to live through pain and suffering.

However AznRevlAzn, in your case I think it is a totally different situation. Maybe warning type of problem that can be cured. That is what it seems like. This was the 1st time right? Think human related problems... the quicker you identify the problems and get help, the much easier it will be for your dog to live through whatever the problem may have been. Good luck man.

Sorry to hear that. Get her checked out.. Our dog was 14, had bad artheries (sp?).. couldnt move, was dillusional at times, lost balance, fell, one morning got hit by a car and broke her hip, was too old for it to heal all the way, so we had to put her down. Best dog imaginable. Never barked, bit, begged.. always right there. It is sad though what people will do to animals. They are just like us, only animals. Its not right to kill them or set them loose..

Probably gonna get flamed for this but what the hell...Man I love my dog, I will probably miss her more then any of my other friends at home. Dog's are just so **** loyal and they think you are just the coolest person ever.
