I would suggest you keep the amp in 4 channel mode and run your front speakers active. They will get louder and sound better.

look @ some MLK165s. Right in your budget, sick midbass, sick tweets that have 2 options for your pleasure, and can get VERY loud on some good power and sound very clean.

ill be the first to admit there a possiblity im wrong, but, i dont think thats entirely true, yes SQ will be better but getting louder, i doubt
