Okay I am 17 years old. I will be graduating from high school June 2nd with a 3.3 GPA. I have gotten a 26 on my ACT college entrance exam. I have gotten 12 tickets in the past 18 Months. For drugs, drinking, loud stereo, wreckless driving, etc etc. I have been accepted to 2 local UW Colleges here in Wisconsin, Public 4 year universities. I have enrolled at UTI Automotive School, The UTI is 28,000$ of tuition and u get a diploma in 65 weeks. A 4 year public college would cost me about 40,000$ . I have always built stuff on my own since i was young and i dont like school i just do decent anyways. Should i get a 4 year degree and party, or go to UTI with a bunch of crazy guys and learn automotive stuff? Possible to go to UTI, pay off the insane loan, and then get an associates at a community college for Law or Business, and be an insurance adjustor or warranty claims inspector. I dont know what to do.

What have you guys done after high school and what do you think about it?

go to a 4 year college. it is a much more versitile education. you can get a job pretty much anywhere with a bachelors, but not every place will take a trade schools certificate.

But people are getting 4 year degrees and not getting a job. with teh UTI u can get advanced training for free to work at BMW , Mercedes or Audi.
