I want to copy your life. No JK Help me out guys I need some advice - Thank You!

man, im going to follow what I enjoy doing, which is working on cars.. I dont give a **** if im making 1/3 of what I can.. if I go to work everyday happy with what I do, than I have succeded at life. Money is overrated. **** it.

UTI sucks balls!!! IMO

Two things I learned at the F*ck'n place.]

"Refer to the manual" (You just graduated now give me $20,000)

& how much I hate to work on cars. I don't even change my own oil anymore.

Just MO. You may like it, who knows.

Wow are you serious? What program did you go with? Thats what i am afraid will happen to me!
OK to be fair.. That was MY experience with the place. I went to the automotive program in Houston. Took auto transmissions and the air brake phase for the big trucks. But that was back in '90. Lots of things may have changed by now. I don't mean to discourage you if thats what you want to do, just think it over really well.

A guy I work with (I work in a factory) went to Lincoln Tech, which is alot like UTI. He got a job at a dealership right when he graduated but wasn't making enough to pay off his student loans and buy the tools he need. I still wish I could have gone there though.... I say goto UTI! haha

college is the better choice of course financially speaking (income in your later years) but if u LOVE cars, go fo UTI. as it is anywhere else, the experience is only what you make it. if you dont talk to people/teachers/deans/big stuff people, you r not gunna be as well off as the o nes who do.

My brother-in-law went to Lincoln Tech and he said he learned more stuff at Anthis (Career Center) than at LT.

Every day, I give people with Associates and Bachelors degrees nine dollar-an-hour jobs.

Medical Assistants,

Communications majors,

CISCO certified types,

People who request $20+/hr come in, and when all is said and done, make $42/day for two weeks before they are moved up to their $8 to 9/hr pay - they take it and run.

I dropped out of highschool, and I make more money than they do; Not because I'm lucky, but because I'm not stupid, and I bust my ***.

If you've racked up that many serious infractions at this age, (drugs, wreckless driving?! christ, man.) you'll need some serious you-improvement before that degree will make a single bit of difference.

The last thing I need is another boss with a degree who couldn't [insert cliche.]

And if you're interested, I'm hiring in eleven states. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Note; I get brochures from car audio [and other certificate] training facilities all the time. They average around $7000.

If I invested that $7000 in project materials, study guides, tools, and time off work, I'd get that [MECP, cisco, net+, whatever,] have more marketable experience, AND a bunch of fun toys.

Maybe you should DIY?
