I want to buy a sports bike soon...inform me

Well nobody needs a bike, its purely 100% a want. I just dont need that kind of power because I wont be on the highway much. And I really dont speed alot either. 0-60 in 5 seconds is enough for me.

you will shoot urself if you don't AT LEAST get a 600 to start out, if you got anything smaller you would ride for 2 months, and then want more power.
remember, you can kill yourself just as easy on a 250 as you can on a 600 or 1000.
Gabe beat me to it, if you are scared of a 600 dont even buy a bike. Save your money and get a new vehicle or more sounds... the above post pretty much sums it all up for you.
If you're that afraid then you don't need a bike.

There is nothing wrong with a smaller bike, or even a bigger bike with less power. You are a dumbass or have penis envy if you think you need to have a supersport bike for your first bike, and an even bigger dumbass if you think that someone has to upgrade to enjoy riding.

I guess if you think wheelies and doing 140 on the freeway is cool, then you need a 600 to start, but if you are getting into it for gas savings or the joy of riding, then get something your comfortable on, and say EFFF the rest of em.

There are lots of real experienced riders running 250s because, as most everyone but the 18year old dick knows, its more fun to ride a small bike fast, than a big bike slow.

I spent 2 years on a ninja 500, and still have it. Its not too small, too weak, or boring. Its a bike, and fun to ride. I did upgrade to a bigger (non supersport) bike for my wife and I to ride, and for trips, but that was not because the old bike was too weak..

Good luck, keep the rubber side up!

get a turbo hayabusa. shit, get it done from the beginning.

seriously though, get the 250. learn how to actually ride a bike. there's much more to it than just twisting hte throttle and hanging on as you go straight down the road. that's only 10% of the fun. the rest of it is in the control and technique and getting faster around corners. to learn all that, a 250 ninja is perfect.

any modern bike sold today will go faster than you will really need to, but it's learnng how to really ride that seperates the riders from the posers.
