I want more bass. What should I do?

This is definitely doable on a budget. I assume you do not want to rattle your windows, so I think your Kenwoods should suffice for your needs. You did not mention what model your Kenwoods are.
maybe not rattle the windows but move the mirrors for sure and maybe a little window rattle. I currently have a kenwood kac 511 and the subs are kenwood KFC-W120SVC

Those subs are perfect for that amp. Single 4ohms voice coil. Both subs paralleled is 2ohms, which sets the amp at 500 RMS. Only thing left to do is have your box built to manufacturer specifications. I personally prefer sealed boxes for simplicity, volume, and sub control. It is good practice to add a divider when subs share an enclosure. For deeper bass, a slot ported box is your best bet. Issue may be- space available, higher cost of extra material, and design. Consult your manual for box specifications.

While true, the issue is limited funds. He already owns those 12s so might as well give it a shot. If it is not enough bass, could always sell the boxed 12s to finance the 6.5s.

Are they shallow 12's? He only has 5-½" of mounting depth. I don't think that he will have any where near enough air space for two 12's behind the seat of a standard cab.

No they aren’t shallows atleast I don’t think but I just checked on the subs that I have. What the mounting depth is for that one and it says 5.8 inches

That is perfect! Sealed per sub can go as small as 0.75 c.f. and as big as 1.75 c.f. So any size box within those parameters you are set. You should take a good picture of that sheet, title it "KFC-120svc", and post it online. I found zero info on that model. And one website wanted c.c. info to let you see their specs sheet.
