mom says theirs kids stopping in front of our house lookin at my car, about 3 times. i just showed my neighbors my system, because what are you gonna do when they come walking up to your car asking what you got in your trunk. my neighbors are bad people, but we always try to stay on their good side. anyways, i was wondering if i can get insurance on my car audio shit and how much will it be extra per month and how much will the insurance company give me if it gets stolen. also, any recommendations on an alarm?

with some insurance co. they do have that in your normal service as long as its on your properity, call your insurance asap and ask them, also you can always take pictures of them and tell police about what they did

yea, you said not much to do when they walk up but if you live somewhere like that(where neighbors can just walk up) then it's time to find someplace else to work on system. I know it sucks because i had to do it for just over a year but better then the other options.

Take pictures of your setup, and gather up all of your receipts.

Depends on what insurance company you have as to whether or not you can get a policy on your audio.

mkae sure all your audio is bolted down in some way. If you have full coverage your insureence will cover it. Also take pics of your system because they might want verification you actually had a system.

I dont work on my system in my driveway, especially if I had some scandalous neighbors...so I wouldnt be in that situation. Hope nothing happens. Either take it out or dont worry about it. Go to your local shop and check out some alarms. If ya wanna put it in yourself, see if hccafan can hook ya up.

I have state farm insurance and actually talked to them yesterday about the same issue.They said since I have full coverage that if something were to happen I would just need to pay my comphrensive deductible which is $500 and they write me a check for the rest.I could make my deductible $250 but the insurance rate would go up per month,I need to find out how much because if it's not a whole lot it may be worth it in the long run.I do have an alarm also and I park in underground parking that has cameras.

Bolt your box to the bottom trunk wall. Also take out all your subs, go to a hardware store and buy 5-8 different type of screw heads and make some kind of randon pattern when you re-drill your subs in the box. Now make a diagram of which screws you put where on a sheet of paper. Next by yourself some caulk.....preferably black if you can find it and spread it in the screw holes so nobody could till which screw is which.

If you know it's going to happen.........make it hard for those cocks. Even if they use a power drill they will have to keep changing bits for the drill which takes time and makes noise!!!!! Also if you can find them you can get a type of locking hex screw. What it is is a regular hex screw which has a pin in the middle of it. On the "key" there is a hole where the pin slides into when you go to screw in or screw out your sub. With out this special key I presonally guarante you will not be able to remove these screws.
