I Think My GP3000 Blew..

It looks to be just that one from the picture.Might have had a broken/damaged leg on the FET and it finally gave out.
This is very possible IMO. It was mounted on the box so vibration may have ended up cluster****ing it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

It would be a relatively easy fix, but with those fet clips and the way the board slides out of the heat-sink like it does would make it a total PITA!
I was actually wondering if this is something I could do myself. I'm **** good with a soldering iron, and I wouldn't mind just having one unmatched fet.. But I was looking and have no idea how to remove the board or those fet clips. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

The clips are easy. They just slide down over the FET to clamp it in place.Be careful but you can get them all off fairly easy.Pulling the board out is kinda tricky, but if you take your time you can slowly slide it out.Make sure you re apply lithium grease to the FETs beffore you re attech the clips.

you can probably find the same fet from mouser.

Does anybody know what type of FET's are in here? Like model number? Or an approximate price of what one will run me?

You know how much a FET generally costs? I've never had to buy one before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Just like push it straight up? I'm trying but it doesn't seem to wanna move, haha. I think it likes where it lives //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Holy Shit

THIS IS Exactly What Happened To My Gp3000d 1 Month Ago.

Less Than Half Way Turned Up, WE WERE JUST GETTING OUT OF THE PARKING LOT.

Less Than A Minute Of The Car Being On.

All Of The Sudden No Bass, We Pulled Over And It Was Stuck In Protect.

Had It Checked Out, Every Single Fet Shorted They Said, But There Was No Visible Damage On The Board At All and the amp ****ing up had nothing to do with my install.

That Brown Piece Of Paper Goes Over The Top Of The Two Bigger Transformers, Its Common Sense, Sticky Side On The Back Cover.

2 Weeks After That I Bought Another One.

Don't be afraid to give it a little tug.. It's spring loaded, so it's going to want to stay on there..
Ah okay, I just didn't wanna break it. Also, are all the tranistors that size the same type? The one that actually blew is in a very awkward spot and it's hard to get my hands up under the clip. Would be easier if I could pry off another one
