i think i ordered the wrong recone...

well i was looking at thE MT tonight and saw that the one i bought used had flat wound coils, but i remembered the new one i bought has round wire

then measured thecoils and the recone kit is about 1.8 on my dmm and the other is 2.3(which is about 1.4 and 2)

so does the recone kit have dual 1.4s and the sub has dual 2?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

and on the sub, its supposed to have 4 stiff, but it isnt really that stiff, my 3 stiff one is about the same, i guess its ben broken in, and the spider is alot taller than my recone

and also i ordered 4 stiff on the recone, and it isnt near as tall as the sub one and i can only count 3 it looks like but they are glued together

i guess i should call RE back

if its thin copper wire, its a dual 1.4...the dual 2, which is a flat wound alum coil has a dcr of 2.6 iirc

order a "dual 2"...even tho youre running 1 amp per sub, i wouldnt recone it with that config..

thats what im going to try and do

see if i can ship back the dual 1.4 and get a dual 2, if thats what it is

on the coil of the recone is says D1.5 MT

i called them a little bit ago, and talked to the lady, she gave a message to david and he is supposed to call me back on my cell sometime tomorrow i guess

now i have to send back the recone kit im guessing for one that is right

and how can you tell how many spiders you have? because the recone's is glued together, but i asked for 4 stiff, but it looks like 3

im thinking now, since the one i have isnt really the right config i want and i alreday have one the way i like it, because im still thinking its 3 stiff, instead of 4, and i want dual 1.4 so i can get more from the amp

how about i just order another dual 1.4 3 stiff, instead of shipping the other back and having to go through all of that

i just went ahead and ordered the another one like i needed

im lazy
