First off if you are going to talk about malware, then don't quote articles that are 2 years old. A quick check now seems to indicate symantec now has daily definition files.

2nd, I said mcafee not symantec.

Mcafee has a new def file every day and on occasion twice a day.

3rd, 2 weeks ago I did not get any pop ups form mcafee. How do you explain that? I retrograded my def file to match my setup from 2 weeks ago and I still get the pop up now telling me there is a virus. How can you chumps explain that? The explanation is that it has been compromised recently.

I can't beleive you guys.

And "IamDaMan", you really have no clue. I did not wake a dormant virus.

Let me re-iterate. I know the site won't be different, but just because a dormant virus activated or was detected while you were surfing, doesn't mean it necessarily came from that site you are viewing. Your firewall should have told you if it did. You can also check logs. I think it was a coincidence and some n00b is falsely assuming what isn't. By the way.... I have tried this on 3 different computers (all running different versions of viruscan) I get this message ONLY on the massive audio web site, and every time a new page gets loaded. No where else. No other web pages do this. And that web site didn't generate a warning from my anti virus a few weeks ago.

BTW, dealing with viruses is part of my job at work. So don't give me this noob sht. I deal with stupid "users" every day claiming this and that is a virus.

LASTELY, IamDeMan , to put the final nail in the coffen so to speak as to your stupid theory of waking a dormant virus from a "ligit" flash web page, my antivirus wouldn't be telling me specifically that it blocked script execution from internet explorer called VBS\psyme.

If a virus had somehow woken up at the same time I happen to browse a page, the virus location wouldn't be from a script running in IE, it would be on a location on my hard drive.

Anyone with half a brain would make the connection.
