I suggest no one go to the massive audio web site for a while

I can't believe you guys use anti spyware progs =/ They're just a fun challenge if you're dumb enough to get a virus //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The best one I had got into my Bios =/ Nothing a little flash couldn't take care of.

nah I dont use them anymore, I usually dont do anything stupid enough to illicit catching them. Unless im looking for some serialz or something, and even then the attempts at sending shit to me are weaksauce.

besides, why run virus software - that takes up valuable memory that I could be dedicating to online gaming //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Shake and bake? hehehe funny stuff.
Well no offense but AVG is a cheep free anti virus that's better to have then nothing but far from great.
LMAO I have seen plenty of reviews put it ahead of mcafee or Norton. Nice try. They also sell a version of it, so it is kept up to date.

"With antivirus applications, nobody should be penny-wise and pest-foolish. That isn't a concern with AVG--it's both free and secure. In comparing AVG's effectiveness at protecting your computer with that of the Symantec suite's antivirus utility, the principal difference lies in the frequency of virus definition updates, with the advantage going to AVG.

Symantec updates weekly, unless the company deems a new threat to be medium to widespread. In contrast, AVG updates as often as new viruses are found. For example, when several new Bagle worms were discovered during my testing period, AVG updated my protection within hours, but several days later Symantec still had not provided detection. In my tests, I saw no significant protection differences other than the update schedule."

You indeed are so wise. Please educate me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I did notice on the massive website that they stopped selling their CA series high end stackable amplifiers.... I guess no one could afford $2500 for a 2000 watt amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

if they were just realistic on the price, maybe they'd of sold more. But those 3000.1's and 1500.1's are selling like hotcakes here in Louisville at some of the local shops that we've got team members who work at.

As for the poster above me, it simply doesn't make any sense.

Let me add that the threat name has also recently been updated by mcafee so that their virus definition files include new detections for this threat..

Let me clear a few things up, a compromised site does not mean it will look different or not work. In a lot of cases it will look the very same but a part that you can't see has been modified. In this case that part is a VB script has been added into the web pages code that tries and executes a script.

This script will work and download a file to your machine if you are running an unpached IE. If you keep IE patched then you should be fine.

For those who think they are experts... I happen to be running virusscan enterprise (This means enterprise class, not a home version) and it has a feature called scriptscan, meaning it can block maliscious scripts from running from websites. As mentioned before, since it identifies it by a name and not a heuristics detection, it is infact said VBS/psyme trojan.

For those who don't know what heuristics means, it means looking for a behaviour from a yet unknown malware.

You can always, after browsing the site, try looking in %Temp% and looking for a file called 102084.exe to see if you did get infected. Of course the file name could be anything. And if your IE is patched then you are likely safe. However, the site has been compromised.
Let me re-iterate. I know the site won't be different, but just because a dormant virus activated or was detected while you were surfing, doesn't mean it necessarily came from that site you are viewing. Your firewall should have told you if it did. You can also check logs. I think it was a coincidence and some n00b is falsely assuming what isn't. BTW script scan an realtime protection is just in enterprise class software. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
