dude, i done the stupidest sh!t ever!!!! i put my ground wire in the power and my power in the ground on my dls A3 amp. it blew all the 30 amp fuses blew and smoked like hell. i replaced the fuses but it want work. anybody have a clue as to what else could be fvcked up with this amp. **** im stupid!!!!
I done the same thing...and I hate to tell you this, didn't feel like reading the other posts so they might have already told you that but you fried the internals im sure. Only way to fix this is to pay for a new board like I did.

Im not tring to shoot down any other things that might have happened....im just giving you the worse scenario...but once difference in mine was none of my fuses blew...which might have mant it was too internal or something im not sure....but replace all fuses, to the battery and the amp and try double check the power and ground and try to run it....I was looking for other things to blame it on and even swapped it..still didnt work...so if you have another car or a buddy's car or something you can hook it up i'd do that first if it works check your wiring for any shorts and such...and if it doesnt work then thats obviously bad.

yeah i was rushing- it started to rain. i never done nothing like this. im pissed because that dls A3 is a bad asss amp- was
same situation with me man...dont rush thats for sure and im an impatient person and its hard for me to try to be different and wait...but went I done that with my amp it was dark and I had just got in and my sub had arrived early that day and I hooked my amp up and reversed the powers/ground on accident because of my stupid impatient decision.....where did you purchase it and the first thing I would look into is how much for a new board.

red = positiveblack = negative

I don't get how rushing makes you color blind//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
It doesn't....but in the dark late at night, impatience, some degree of n00bx-ness, etc etc can all add together to create a screwup. Happens to the best of us sometimes...
Truly sad that it had to happen to such a nice amp, though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i dont have red and black wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif, my power is blue and ground is silver, except the power on 1 A3000 is red //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i got in a hurry back in the day and was installing some 50$ infinfty coax's i got off ebay, screw driver slipped and next thing i know half the screwdriver is on one side of the cone, half is on the other, cheap plastic FTL, i dont rush now, that was 50$ in speakers and i was mad as hell, cant imagine messing up something in the few hundread range

how often to people actually use red/black for amps anymore? I plan to this next time but usually don't. the problem is that people feel dumb looking at their terminals everytime they screw/unscrew and get them mixed. I did it this weekend but i ALWAYS make sure everything is double checked and then checked by someone else if doable.

Call DLS, see if they'll take care of you. There have been a couple stories here where they've gone that extra mile to help their customers, even ones without warranties.I should slap you for hurting that poor amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Even if you use blue/silver, orange/yellow, pink/purple.

If you hooked it up, you would know what is what. I just don't see how this particular accident can happen. Unless someone switches your wires around with out you knowing.
