I really need computer help

I had a **** ton of malware and spyware on my computer, my buddy helped me out with that. He did go through the services and stopped a lot of them. Well, now I can't control my screen brightness or my audio levels. I think he may have stopped the service that controls that. My computer is a sony vaio with intel i5 core processor. I can't do box designs because my screen is on the low brightness settings. I really hope someone can help me with this.

What model number is it? What operating system are you running?

Some laptop manufactures have hot keys that are required.

You'll probably have to redownload the hotkey utility and drivers for your laptop. If you provide the model number I can provided the link for the proper download.

In the meantime, if you see a battery icon in your taskbar (bottom-right) click it and there should be an option to "Adjust Screen Brightness". You can also do this by clicking Start (the blue orb with the Windows logo in the bottom-left), clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then clicking Power Options. There you'll see a slider where you can adjust your display brightness accordingly.

If you're on Windows 8 you can do this in the desktop mode, or by clicking one of the hot corners (top-right or bottom-right, don't remember which) and there should be a brightness option.

You need to re-install your drivers you fucking inbred computer noob.

First thing you've said that actually makes sense.

I got it taken care of. So much bloatware and just crap. Had to uninstall many programs and re-install some. It was at least 24+ hours of work.
