theyll be powered by my m.a. audio m1286i two channel amp. i just blew two ma audio 10s that were 1500w max a piece, so needless to say they need to be strong, n im not lookin to spend much more than $250 or so for both shipped. im thinking about two alpine type r's but basically anything that you think can handle it ill be happy with, i just want some bass! n no f-ing sony xplods assholes, even though they do slam haha

a) Max or Peak wattage ratings are meaningless statistics. Disregard them entirely.

b) I'm looking for specs on that amplifier and thus far cannot seem to locate them. What's the RMS output per channel on that unit, if you know?

im not sure exactly but the dude i bought em from (my cousin) said theyre 700 watts rms but i think the amp puts out all of the 1200 watts it says cuz thats the only way it would make sense to me as to how it blew em, n ive also blown three amps on them too
