I need some simple box help

Well, I just bought a new sub, and I built this box a while ago, and the sub still doesnt play the lows like I had hoped. I told the person who sold me the sub, and he said the box is tuned high and isnt the same as what RE Enclosure builder says. I just want to know what the real tuning of this box is.

I plugged it into Expos box builder program and it came out like 35hz or something, but the guy I bought the sub from said its 44hz? Anyways, what is the real tuning of this box, and would building a different box help me or do i just need a new sub?

I got ~2.2ft^3 after woofer displacement(assuming .1ft^3 for the woofer) tuned to 32-33hz. The guy you bought it from is either lying or doesn't know how to calculate tuning.

So the RE calculator is basically right after you take into account woofer displacement right? I guess this sub just isnt what I was hoping for. Its an old school 12 inch Orion HCCA from like 1999-2000. It wont play lows any better than my old Type R did in a 35hz box.

According to expo calculator my box is 4.3@43, and 4.1@39 on the re calculator, so one of them isnt right. Thats with .4 displacement on the expo and .4 displacement on re by making the width smaller.
