i need some help with my speakers

hey everyone, I have a 2007 sonata which had terrible stock speakers in it... I replaced the fronts with rockford 1652s's and the back coax's with rockford 1653's and it sounds pretty good, but not as good as i could i think. it's quite an ordeal to install new speakers in my car and i basically had to dremel and take apart the old speakers and use them as mounts for the new speakers. By doing this its not a great seal of the speakers up against the doors. Should i use clay or something around the edges and dynamat the doors?

Also right now they are running off my kenwood excelon x794 HU

Those Rockford speakers sound Ok compared to what other choices as in Morel,Rainbow,Dynaudio,HAT,Image Dynamics,Helix,DLS,ETC......

Yes deadening your dorrs will help, but before adding deadener try making a MDF baffle for your door.

Yes buying a amp will help with power

Might just wanna make some mdf or hardwood rings & mount those to your doors so you have something sturdy to attach your speakers to. And yes they need to be sealed well. You can use clay or duct sealer or rope caulk. For deadener use Audiotechnix, it's as good or better than dynomat for a lot less.

Thank you guys for your quick replies, ill have to go make a trip up to the hardware store. I know i could go for better choices on the speakers but i got a good deal on them. I also got a rockford 300.4 amp i just havent had time to install it so far.
