I have a 1980 Mustang, and i plan on getting a system within a month, but my dad put me on the tightest budget of 200 bucks, i need some advice on whut subs and amp i should get, i want at least 12's, any help....

The kind of help you really need is financial help!! There is no way your gonna be able to put decent 12's in there for 200$ man. Go to your nearest london drugs and puck up 2 12" subs and a 100$ amp. thats the best you can do!!

Ouch!! 200 bucks is a pretty tight budget.

For a small amount of money like that I would suggest some pioneer stuff, It sounds alright and is priced pretty fair.

Mobile Authority makes really cheap stuff, like 30 dollar cheap stuff. Only and only if I was the most desperate person in the world would I get M.A. stuff. I've read some stuff about there speakers that they catch on fire, and blow up and stuff.

yeah ive been lookin around ubid.com cuz its alot cheaper than ebay, and i got my computer there for really cheap

they have good prices for decks, subs and an amp, im thinkin bout maybe gettin like 4 10's, ubid has got some lighting audio 10inchers that are 400w peak and 200rms, if i get 4 of those and maybe a boss amp and a jensen deck, i can get like around 200-230 bucks

would that work?

well on that budget go down to yer nearest wal mart and buy some jensen **** and get a cheap ass amp to power them on ebay or maybe try etronics they got some cheap **** too if ya look. but you sure cant get much for 200 dollaz.

whut about two audiobahn 10's, 300w RMS each, 18 bucks each

go with an audiobaun 1251x they go for about 100 bucks and can give you 400 watts rms thats a good start but i would sudgest to just save the money and wait till you have more that way you get a chance to put your system together right instead of throwing away amps and subs later

get a part time job and take his 200 and put it in the bank. decide on how much you want to spend...look at your vehicle determin what you want..(loud and clean....just sound great..or spl machine) and then select products that fit your desired taste.........and make sure u have enough room and that your car/truck has enough alt/battery power for it.

Here is my thought, theory. Those speakers are 80w rms. Half of that is 40w rms. Add the 40 to the 80 and you get 120w. Get an amp that is 120w...
