i need some help, and cannot get any answers....

i've got a 15" kicker CVR that just stopped working..

the amp is powered up , and when i press on the speaker dead in the center it starts to BEAT!

what could cause this?

burnt voice coil? why can i still hear then if it is a burnt voice coil, when i touch it..

can this be repaired? please help, i am driving myself crazy

- sounds like a bad woofer... you could call kicker for a repair price, see if it's worth repairing.

- also, try another speaker on that amp channel to make sure it's not the amp.

- don't play that bad speaker anymore.. if it shows a short to the amp, it could cause the amp to go south... yes, even if the amp has protection circuitry... protection is not a guarantee.
