i need some guidence

what up all? right now im chillin in baghdad and i been spendin alot of time lookin threw the threads not just on this site but many others. i think all its doin is confusing me. what im lookin to do is build a new sterio in my 02 caddy deville. i've gone threw a couple systems since i've had it. a pair of 15" l7's and 15'' cvrs. i dont have either of the setups currently but im trying to get an idea on what i shuld do when i get back to the states. i'll prolly have upwards of 4k to drop on it. i know spl is difficult to come by because of the 10 foot thick backseats i have but im def lookin to penatrate it but i want sq also. heres what i have in mind:

2 kicker cvx15

polk sr5250 for the front

2 kicker zx1000.1

and some tweeks to the electrical system

i know i been runin kicker for a good min but i dont mind changin out for somethin better. any recomendations? am i goin completely the wrong route?

sounds good just need an amp for the polks and a head unit and you should be good to go.

Sounds good to me. Might want to just go with a ZX2500.1 instead of 2 1000.1's. What about an amp for the SR5250's? Do you want a 4-channel for your fronts and rears, or just your fronts?

Well it depends... it you're going for good SQ, then try to keep as much of the sound as possible up front.

Those Polk SR's are niiiice speakers. I heard a set at Tweeter, and I was blown away. I say give em at least 100w per side, and they ought to sing. Might want to look into a Kicker ZX350.2 for your fronts.

Also, if I were you, I'd look into sound deadening for the trunk and front doors. It'll keep the rattles out of your trunk, and it will get the most and best sound out of your components. Look at Second Skin's Damplifier at http://www.secondskinaudio.com . That's a great company with an incredible product and excellent customer service.

But look at the Kicker ZX350.2 if you're lookin to keep matching Kicker amps. It ought to show the SRs plenty of power.
