I need some amp help

I am currently buying a new speaker system for my '88 camaro and need some help. I have bought a two kenwood W3010 12" subwoofers ( Click Here for spec sheet ) and am having trouble finding an amp for the set. I planned on putting them parallel, then my impedence would be 2 ohms. From what i understand, i need around 400w to get the max out of my speakers. I can't find an amp that offers 400w @ 2 ohms. any ideas?

My price range for the amp is under $200.

Thanks all,

Tyler

Ha..ha ha...ha haahaaahaaaaa.Save your pennies, dude.car adioa ia an expensive hobby.
Hey thanks for the useful post *******

I am not looking to get into this as a hobby, i just want to put subs in my car. I already bought a nice set of front and rear speakers and a nice set of subs (maybe not nice for you audiophiles, but it works for me), and all i really want to do is set it up to run and that is it.

theres so many choices dude wats couple brands u would feel safe buying?
I really am looking to buy a kenwood, but like i said, i can't find one that is near my power requirements. The only mono amps i find are usually way too powerful for my system. All I am trying to find is an amp that is 400 w RMS @ 2 ohms, but can't find one.

I suppose that I could use a dual channel amp that is 200 w RMS @ 4 ohms, but I have read that it is better to go with a mono for heat and sound reasons.

I'm also thinking about spending a bit more to get a sound stream, and i could for what looks like about $100 more.

Have you looked at the Kenwood KAC-9102D, if your looking at Crutchfield, it can be found for $239 new, and $169 refurb. Its states that its rated @ 850 RMS @ 2ohm, which I realize is way more power than you need, but its always nice to have more headroom, you can always turn the gain down to protect your subs.

Dude wants a little bass, and clearly doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I don't see what the hell the problem is.
Give the guy a f* break.
Thanks yo.

Also i looked at that amp, that is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks. I wish forums had more members like you.

And to people calling me a noob, so what? Are you telling me you never were a noob to car audio? You just popped out knowing all you know now?
