hey everyone i am looking to buy a secondary battery along with an isolator. My question to you guys is what should i look for when trying to buy the perfect battery and isolator for my setup? im more so concerned about powering my 500/1 JL Audio mono block amp. Please feel free to school me on buying these items.

if your having problems running the 500/1 i would look into an alternator first...

well im not having problems...its just that i want to make sure that i have enough power without stressing the altenator

another battery will put more stress on your alternator...

ok so im confused....if i get the battery and the isolator...the new battery would be totally separate from the primary one right??

ok so i just talked to a guy from crutchfield and he said the same thing...he told me that a 1 farad capacitor and a new alternator should solve my problem...

no need for the cap...hes just trying to sell ya one...just get the alternator and you should be fine. maybe upgrade the battery under the hood

what about just doing the big three? wouldnt that suffice?

what vehicle and what stock alt? big 3 should be fine for 500 watts. hell i had over 1K with no big 3, and stock electrical and didnt dim at all..
