I need one 12 inch sub

I need one twelve inch sub that doesn't require to much air space, it is going into a 2000 grand prix gtp. I have had a few subs but then got out of the car audio scene for a few years and there are so many new brands out that I know little to nothing about, I have had the new type r's, 12 jl W, older 15XXX and some L7s.I want something that will get real loud and not need much more then about 2 cubic feet sealed. I want an SQL sub. I don't want to spend more then about $400 on a sub. Let me know what your opinions are please.

well, it doesn't have to be sealed as long as it is around 2-3 cubes.I don't have a decent amp yet, I am just using my brothers POS sound storm right now, I am trying to decide on a sub before I get an amp. I was thinking a Hifonics though.

I suppose there are, I was thinking about getting an RE and my old XXX I had it in a 2000 bonneville in a 5 cube box, that is why I said that. I went back to reaudio.com and noticed that most of them can be in a ported box around 2 cubes.

Most of the stuff sound splinter makes requires very little airspace. I know those RL-i8's only take around .3 cubes sealed. Maybe you should look into an RL-P

I think I am set on either the mag d2 or the SX but I don't know much about them or much about many of the other brands.
