i need help

not to sound newb-ish but how the hell are you suppose to fit 4 gauge wire inside the ground and 12v slot on the amp.. do i try to shove it in there or is there some special tool that does it

if this amp is new?? then does it have a manual??? it should tell you what size wire the terminals hold?? mine hold 8/4 gauge.. and in order for me to fit my 4 gauge in there i had to trim off a little of the wire, like for the tip tjhat went into the amp.... just too some wire cutters and cut some strands and then twisted really tightly and it fit in nicley...
