PURDUE!!!!
I have a BIG problem on my hands... I have my XXX 15" sub in the back of my Toyota Truck, and it is causing some serious problems. It is vibrating the shit out of my truck and tearing it apart. The roof now moves about 2" up and down when i am playing my stereo kinda loud... the side door rattles like hell too. My piont is that i don't know what to do about all of this. I am pretty sure that simple sound dampening won't solve the roof problem, and i don't know what else to do. Anyone got an idea????

Thanks, Mark

I don't think that there is much room under my roof and above the vinal on the ceiling... How much fiberglass would it take?

And how much would that cost?

well your best bet is to just give your subwoofer to me, forget about this whole car audio thing.

haha, j/k, but ide say get a bunch of reg. second skin (secondskinaudio.com or ifandorbuts on this forum) and lay a lot of layers everywhere.

yeah i was just hesitant on that becuase of how much the roof moves i am not so sure that it will fix it...

can always go pick up a can of the polyurathane insulation that comes in those squirt cans at hardware stores, that will at least keep metal from rattling against other metal, not sure it will keep your roof from being ripped off. Any problems with using this stuff guys? I have seen it done, just cut and sanded after it was put in, and it stopped all the rattles.

depending on your car, u may be able to use some of that foam stuff to reduce vibrating. The only thing stronger would be like think sheets of metal, but then ur talking bigger expenses. The vibration will go down, trust me. Just need like 5 layers of reg damplifier.
