i need help.

Don't get upset because people are jerks on here, it happens to every noob I think. Do some reading in the sub thread and then go from there. You can build a "go big or go home" setups that won't cost you a fortune and be feasible.

What do you want from your system? Are you going for pure sonic bliss, stupidly loud or something in between? What kindof budget do you have?

I'd suggest dropping it down to only 4 subs, which still leaves wow factor, and is easier on everything. If you want the same power handling, go research up some more higher end stuff that can handle the same altogether. You spend 1/2 the time installing, 1/2 the cost of wire, and 2x more time listening than cursing the realm of the car audio gods.

What the hell car do you have again?

Or heck, if you want loud, good air displacement and a 'middle ground' setup, just get a few Kicker CompVX's, 15". 4 subs at 1000 watts should make your balls tingle a tad.

At 260$ shipped, and probably cheaper online in E-bay STORES, you can easily afford your system. Get 4, pay some one to custom fiberglass your trunk so that the subs face angled out towards the back of the trunk. Then, place your 4 Subwoofer amps in pre-made fiberglass shelfs (molded into the middle) so that it looks all pretty and Fueng Shei (sp?)

Heck, you can even get an extremely nice high end SQ set of componenets (Rainbow Germs?) and a sweet high end amplifier (Arc audio maybe?) so that you have the real nice Sound quality in cabin, and an abusive power hitting trunk installed with goodies.

I'd wang it if I had a good 4k to spend. Heck build it myself, would I.

4 subs :1200$

Custom box: 300$ Fiberglassed, and 50 hours for design (I hate math)

Wiring: 100 feet of no-name 8 gauge, 100 feet no-name 1/0 gauge. :150$

3 sets of Rcas, no-name fuses and fuse holders, 1 massive distro block, remote, etc... 100$ at most

2 Yellow tops - 300$ I think

1 massive alternator: 500$

Big 3: See 100 yards 1/0

4 sub Amps: 1200$ to be safe?

1 component Amp: 500$

1 set of components: 400$

200 yards of rammat, appropriate ensolite and glue: 300$

I think I hit it all. That tallies 5k with probably well overestimated prices. I get no-namer stuff at much cheaper than I stated, but I don't know how you are going ahead to buy.

I would suggest you find a car before you start picking out stuff. Figure out what how much space you have to work with, then start designing. Also, the values Frakensuby threw up there were pretty good.

As stated above, I would definitely look into your car. The trunk in my Suby probably would fit 4 15", but leave about 2 feet to stuff my junk in.

I have a single ten having 600 RMS thrown into it, and it makes me tingle inside, I'd imagine just 2 really nice 15" subs and tons of power to them would make the car flex like a heart. It is all dependent on whether or not you want trunk space. I think my next vehicle will be a Legacy GT wagon, so I can put my 2 Ti Elite 12's in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

What cars HAVE you looked into getting? Maybe give us an idea what trunk sizes you are looking at.

id kill to geta subaru! taht was my first pick but there alittle on the expensive side for me =P yeah so the legacy, VW golf, honda civic/accord, my moms minni-van(lol), or a used mercedes outa the classifieds.

What's your budget? I like car shopping much more than audio shopping, and that says alot, because all I do at work is study up on car audio stuff.

Also, you are going to get manhandled on Subaru prices because it is winter time. I don't see one ad in this autotrader for a Subaru that doesn't say something to the tune of "winter is coming, AWD!"

I pay roughly 450$ a month (including maintenance, car payment, and yearly insurance) for my 06 2.5i. I purchased the car under my parents name, at first just for financing advantage, but later found out my insurance is dirt cheap for full coverage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I pay every cent though, it can get hard while being a college student.
