You change the fuse with the system OFF!Thank you all for the help. I remember my friend did turn the bass boost and gain up alot so I have them turned down now but I have one more problem.
The remote turn on would light up but the amp would not turn on so we checked the fuse under the hood and it was blown. My ground and power wires had fell out of the amp so my friend said it blew because my ground and power wire touched. So...... we went to change the fuse under the hood and as soon as we put the fuse in it blew instantly. I think the car and the remote was on when we changed the fuse, could that have been the problem? I really need you guys help, I'm going to buy another fuse in the morning but I'm scared that it will blow instantly again.
Changing fuses with the amp turned on is bad, as soon as the fuse completes the circiut a large spike of power goes to the amp and can possibly damage its power supply, you need to connect it then let the amp power up normally..
If your power wires are hooked up correctly (check those polaritys) and there is no stray wires sticking out of the terminals grounding out on somthing and no sections of wire grounding out on the chassis then you should be able to put a new fuse in and turn the system back on.
If the fuses continue to blow you have damaged your amps power supply and need to get it repaired.
