Hey everyone, i have a general question about my amp and i was just wondering if someone could help me. i am running a single JL Audio 12W3V3-2Ohm sub with a boston acoustics gt 2125 amp and the amp is getting very hot. the suggested wattage for the w3v3-2 is 500 watt rms. i dont know if my amp is set up correctly for my sub...?

i see that there is a mono selection for the amp and they are the outside positive and negative selections and my sub is plugged in to them, i dont know if that is correct or not, should they be in mono? should i have them on the inside positive and negative selections or not? this is also a 2 channel amp that is bridgeable. i want to know how to bridge my amp to my one sub.

so your sub is a dual 2 ohm sub ? or single 2 ohm .if dual you'll need to wire the sub as a 4 ohm sub if not you need another amp i believe

If you are running highly on bass boost, or also have the Loud button on, will also increase the heating up of the amplifier.i dont use either..no need.Place 5-6 washers under ea of the mounting tabs to get that amp off the flat surface will help also to get a little air underneath
