I need help on choosing comps

Hey guys,

I've gone through two pairs of comps in the past month.

My first setup was a pair of pioneer comps. My amp is pushing 75 watts rms, and these speakers were only 50. So basically I blew them out.

I tried going the cheap way out, which was just a waste of time and money. I bought a pair of hifonics comps rated at 100 rms. The blown pioneers sounded better...

So I need a set of comps that can handle my amp and some heavy bass in rap songs etc.

Used is always a great option, and lets say my price range is up to 250$.

Thanks,

Mark

comps aren't supposed to receive heavy bass, that's probably why the pioneers blew. I think you should invest in a nice sub so you wont' be looking for bass out of your components. As for comps to use, my pick has been and will be the rockford power series components.
