I need help getting deep bass out of my 12w6v2's

So I got two 12w6v2's. I tried them in BOTH sealed and ported enclosures built exactly to their specs. They still arent producing the low deep bass that I had with my RF's. I listen mostly to rap. I already e-mailed JL and Im waiting on their response. So meanwhile, what can I do?

I was running both my RF's and JL's with the same amp and settings. No, not at the same time. I tried messing with the EQ and bass boost bit its still nowhere near as good as it used to be with my RF's

the Dub 6 imo is the best driver JL makes.....if you aint getting the "deep" bass your looking for something is wrong. more details please. I had my pair in a ported box and actually switched to sealed because the depp bass was too over exaggerated.

Too high for the low end he wants.

25-28 hz would be a better choice.

It is, but that don't mean they can't get loud. Hell I heard one of these doing almost 140 on a 500.1 and a good electrical and that was sealed. I believe he needs more tunning. If it still don't make you happy, then go sealed, but I believe they are more geared towards sealed IMO.

Well, the box I have is tuned to 32hz. Is +-2 hz gonna make that big of a difference?

Ok, heres how I noticed that the JLs werent producing the deep low bass.

I was using a sealed 1.25 cuft per chamber box at the time. With the Rockford Punch Hx2's installed, the song Late Nite Tip sounded awesome, deep and low. Then I removed the HX2's and installed the w6's, I listened to Late Nite Tip again and noticed immediately that they werent hitting nearly half as low as the RF's. Same settings and everything. I listened to a few more deep bass songs with the w6's and was dissappointed with all of them. The JL's hit more of the higher bass, but hardly none of the lower bass.

Poly-fil worked for me! Try it, that should help you.

The box may be too small. They may also need a little time to break in and loosen up.

So in general, the w6 is more of a SQ woofer and therefor not as good at producing the super low deep bass very well?

Im talking sub 45hz type bass.
